1. Who we are
Operators Library (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website at operatorslibrary.com (the “Site”), a free educational resource covering ecommerce and dropshipping. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
a. Information you give us directly
- Email address — only if you choose to subscribe through one of our email capture forms (the header bar, exit-intent prompt, inline cards, or interactive tools).
- Tool inputs — when you use our interactive tools (for example the Readiness Score, Kill or Scale, and Capital Calculator), the values you enter may be associated with your subscription if you opt in to receive your results by email. These inputs are otherwise processed in your browser.
b. Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we collect standard analytics data to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. This includes:
- Pages viewed, time on page, and navigation paths
- Approximate device and browser information (browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size)
- Referring website and, where present, UTM campaign parameters
- A randomly generated identifier and session information used to distinguish new from returning visits (this is not your real name and is not tied to your identity unless you subscribe by email)
We do not collect precise geolocation, and we do not knowingly collect any special categories of sensitive personal data.
c. Information stored in your browser
We store small amounts of data locally in your browser (via localStorage) to remember your theme preference (light or dark) and your course progress. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
3. How we use your information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content
- To understand which resources are useful so we can prioritize what to build next
- To send you the emails you signed up for (for example, your tool results or resource updates) — and nothing you didn't ask for
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or security problems
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
4. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your data under the following legal bases: your consent (for email subscriptions and non-essential analytics cookies), our legitimate interests (in understanding and improving the Site in a privacy-respecting way), and legal obligation where applicable. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Third-party services we use
We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run the Site. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service:
- PostHog — product analytics. Processes the automatically collected usage data described above. PostHog privacy policy.
- MailerLite — email delivery. Stores your email address and any fields you provide when you subscribe. MailerLite privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery. Processes standard server request data (such as IP address) to serve the Site. Vercel privacy policy.
We also publish content to social platforms (including Pinterest, X, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon). This is outbound publishing only— we post links to our own content. We do not receive or store your personal social-media data through the Site. If you interact with our posts on those platforms, that interaction is governed by the platform's own privacy policy.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage for two purposes: essential functions (remembering your theme and progress, keeping the Site working) and analytics (understanding aggregate usage via PostHog). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not break the Site — you'll still have full access to all content.
7. Affiliate links
Some links to third-party tools and services on the Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Clicking an affiliate link may pass a referral identifier to that third party under their own privacy policy. We only recommend tools we consider genuinely useful, and affiliate relationships never change our editorial coverage.
8. Data retention
We keep analytics data only as long as needed to understand usage trends. We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed; when you unsubscribe or request deletion, we remove it from our active lists. Data held in your own browser persists until you clear it.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent for email or analytics at any time
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of that email. To exercise any other right, email us at privacy@operatorslibrary.com and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe. California residents (under the CCPA/CPRA) have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights — and since we don't sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
10. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers of personal data out of the EEA or UK.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
